FakkuDroid V3.0.11 Beta 11 - Update: 06/12/2015

 - Some bugs fixed.

Do you have problems to save in your microSD?
If you have Android 4.4.2 or above, maybe you have been experiment problems saving in your SD Card. That is because Google introduce a new ANNOYING feature in the version 4.4.2 (more informations here)

What can I do?
Well, in my case (ASUS Zenfone 5), I had to create a new folder "com.devsaki.fakkudroid" in "/MicroSD/Android/data" directory and select that folder as my FakkuDroid folder.


If you still have problems, try unmount and mount again your SD card.

WARNING: If you uninstall the app, maybe your fakkudroid folder is going to be deleted, at least when the folder is in "MicroSD/data/com.devsaki.fakkudroid". Please be careful, my fakkudroid folder was deleted by error, testing the app. :(

    i'm a user who used to use V2.9.9. i realized that main page does not show up in 2.9.9 anymore, so i've moved to 3.0.3. thx to make us use fakku easily, but i think searching and downloading system of new version is quite inconvenience comparing to V2.9.9. and i can't even read what i've downloaded before! ;( i hope this problem will be fixed soon...

      Send me your crash report and I'm going to try to fix it. You can import your olds mangas (Preferences > Import).

      The old searching and downloading system is going to come back in future versions.

    Not sure if it was intentional but the application name is now displayed as 'Downloads' instead of the original 'FakkuDroid'.

    I'm able to download some books to read but other times I would get "Dowlnoad completed, but had an error" message.

      Uhmm... ok, well, that problem can be anything... so, first, that happens in specific mangas? if yes, can you say me what mangas (send me the url)?
      Are you using an microSD? What is your Android version and device?

    I'm using a HTC one m8 version 5.0.1 in which I have been downloading my files to the phone's storage. For the mangas however, I have been trying to downloading everything recent and these seem to be the few that have been giving me errors.

      Thanks for your feedback, I didn't know about that (mangas that only are visible if you are logged).
      I'm going to try to add compatibility with that mangas.

    I'm using the HTC One M8, and I can't even open the new version. It keeps crashing every time I try to open it.

      hello, it happens the same to me too,
      the latest beta 7 crashes as soon i open it
      just the classic android crash, so no error log available
      other betas were fine

      my config:
      samsung note2 with custom rom cyanogenmod 12.1 (5.1.1)

    App crashes at startup on my Nexus5 with 5.1.1 lollipop, it's impossible to send crash reporter. Tried as update of 3.0.1 beta and as a clean install, same story.

      Go to the navigation drawer > Web View
      Enter to any manga (with read online option) and a download button is going to be visible..

    My Android version is older so I can't use the 3.x.x; is there any chance that 2.9.9 will ever work again?

      Well, it depends of Fakku API, and I don't know if it will ever work again.
      But I'm studing the posibility to add compatibility with the android 2.3.

    Beta 10
    Can't tap on mangas or tags while in site view and therefore cannot download anything. All other buttons surrounding the page are all operational though. Not a crash, so I can't send a log file. Just looks like button or site view error

      The rremoval of large amounts of content and going legit with all content would pretty much make this app pointless! :(

      Oh, Fakku Books. Well, I don't know. If Fakku still have a lot of mangas free, I'll continue with the project (because I'm a user too).
      This project is only a hobby, I'm practicing my English and my Android developer skill. Did I make some money with the project? Yes, but in this almost 3 years I made less than one month in my job.

      The day that I leave to visit Fakku, I'm going to drop the project.

      But I don't believe that Fakku is going to remove all his content, maybe I'm mistake, but a lot of his contents are doujinshis (based in an anime with copyrights) and I think they are going to have problems to licence that.

      Btw, do you know another site like Fakku?

      I just read the post about the new policy in fakku in the next months (remove all unlicence content).
      I'm going to drop the project for now, I want to see if it is going to worth it.
